Epoxy Floor Coating

Epoxy coating creates a seamless, hygienic surface that stands up to heavy traffic, chemicals and frequent cleaning. What really decides the result, though, is floor preparation: a coating laid without moisture testing, grinding and repairs soon blisters and lifts. That is why every job starts with measuring the floor.

Process

1. Survey and moisture test: the condition, strength and moisture of the floor are measured on site.
2. Surface preparation: old coatings and weak layers are removed by grinding or shot blasting.
3. Repairs: cracks, joints and damaged areas are filled.
4. Primer: an epoxy primer is applied so the coating bonds to the floor.
5. Main coat: a self-levelling or roller-applied coat at the required thickness.
6. Top coat and curing: line marking and a polyurethane top coat where needed, followed by the curing period.
